As a trending products analyst at Firstfinds, I've spent much of the holiday season monitoring celebrity gift lists in search of unique products and novel gift ideas. So when I discovered the overnight charcuterie board delivery service, Boarderie, on Oprah's Favorite Things List 2023, I had to try it for myself — especially once I learned the family-run business also appeared on Shark Tank.

After eating my weight in artisanal cheeses, I can confirm both boards are worth the splurge, and my co-workers and Thanksgiving dinner guests who participated in my taste tests agree. Unlike traditional wine and cheese baskets, the meats and cheeses in Boarderie's charcuterie boards are pre-sliced and pre-arranged, meaning all you have to do is take it out of the packaging and put it in the oven or on the table. There's even a bamboo cutlery kit included for serving.

Boarderie Baked Brie Review

Oprah shared in her 2023 Favorite Things List that, "The only thing better than one pastry-wrapped Brie appetizer is four of them" — and after trying the Boarderie Baked Brie Board for myself, I have to agree. With additional cheeses and fillings stuffed inside each, they're the perfect hostess gift to say, "I'm sorry I couldn't come to your party." Just pop the oven-safe baking trays in for twenty minutes, and voila!

Though I had every intention of serving all four pastry-wrapped brie rounds as holiday party appetizers, I couldn't help myself. I popped the rosemary, sun-dried tomato and olive flavor in the oven immediately after it arrived.

It was so delicious that I nibbled on the chocolate, espresso and raspberry flavor for "girl dinner" the very next day and popped the blueberry, vanilla and Thai ginger round in the freezer for a future get-together. The truffle, fig and orange flavor that did make it to Thanksgiving was gobbled up within minutes of coming out of the oven.

Boardarie Charcuterie Board Review

The fig and rose goat cheese and everything-seasoned cashews from Boarderie's famed charcuterie board were a huge hit at the Firstfinds office taste test, as was the fact that the board's various components come individually wrapped. Not only did it keep the dried fruit, nuts and soft cheeses fresh longer, but it also made it easy to separate the large ten-person serving into two or three smaller boards.

"Not only was my Boardarie charcuterie board super easy to assemble, but it was a huge hit at my Thanksgiving. People loved trying all of the different cheeses, meats and snacks. Online, it says the board serves 9-10, but there was enough for the 15 people at my house to enjoy," shared Lindsey Murray, commerce director.

With that being said, there's so much you can do with any leftover meats and cheeses. I used the smoked cheddar for a grilled cheese sandwich, dried fruits and nuts for a mid-afternoon snack and truffle cheese for pasta. And per Menitoff's suggestion, I made chopped salads for lunch to ensure not one pepperoncini or marinated olive went to waste.
